Extreme Velineon brushless horsepower delivers the power you want with the reliability you expect from Traxxas. The VXL-6s Marine electronic speed control is built for true 6S LiPo power. * Built-in low voltage detection helps protect your batteries. The extra voltage and current delivers the Velineon 540XL motor's potential for extreme speeds of 50+ mph. The sensorless Velineon 540XL motor is designed for ultra-high temperature fabricated Neodymium magnets, a precision balanced rotor and efficient, high speed, high speed performance and Spartan In-Body and Battery Trays (Blue) reliability. The motor and ESC system are water cooled so they do not overheat even at peak performance. Spartan keeps his cool by running for all-day hassle-free fun.

Traxxas Stability Management - Handling Assistant
Traxxas Stability Management® (TSM) makes it much easier to control the boat in any water condition, making it possible to experience all the extreme power, speed and acceleration designed in Traxxas models. If your boat is out of line, the TSM will begin to try to sense the boat's direction and make steering corrections to provide straight forward full throttle acceleration without loss of control. The TSM also works when turning, first making intuitive corrections to keep the vehicle in line, then accelerating earlier on the turn for much faster exit speeds. The Traxxas TSM provides all the benefits of modern electronic stabilization without interfering with the fun of driving or introducing unexpected side effects that can be found in other systems. Traxxas engineers have developed cutting-edge tuning algorithms that work on high-speed, precision electronic components to create a system that works invisibly in the background without limiting gas. The TSM can be fine-tuned (or turned off) for different conditions by adjusting the multi-function button on the TQi transmitter or adjusting the slider in the Traxxas Link app. The result is faster, easier and more fun to drive. In fact, the driver may not even realize how helpful TSM is until they are turned off and their driving skills are tested without it! Everything is waterproof and, as you would expect, Traxxas rugged. This is performance on a whole new level!

Traxxas Spartan RC Boat Features

Easy Access Cover
The Spartan's cap is secured with a single stem clip and is removed in seconds for quick and easy access to the inside of the stem. No sealing tape is required, and a specially designed drip rail on the hull channels the water that washes the top of the hold.

Integrated Battery Trays
The Spartan's body is further enhanced with integrated battery trays that securely hold a variety of battery packs, from 8.4V NiMH batteries to 8400mAh 3s LiPo packs. Wide trays allow trimming of the trunk by placing packs front and back, and adjustable hook and loop straps secure the batteries.

High Performance Prop
Spartan's surface piercing propeller is optimized to quickly level the hull without loss of stability and run at maximum speed with the least current draw. Traxxas engineers spent hours testing probe configurations to find the perfect balance of performance, efficiency and durability. The molded composite construction makes the impeller light and robust without the need for balancing or sharpening.

High Strength Aluminum Hardware
Exceptional brushless horsepower requires rigid drive hardware and inflexible endurance for sharp and predictable handling. The rudder, rudder support and propulsion strut are extruded and machined from solid 6000 series aluminum alloy for maximum strength and then polished and anodized bright blue for that flawless Traxxas look. When you tilt the Spartan into a water carving spin, you can count on the rudder to dig and grab your rope. The rudder includes a collector for the water cooling system and uses Oilite bushings for smooth steering action. The drive strut also uses Oilite bushings for corrosion-free performance and has a lubrication hole for easy maintenance.
