The Hangar 9® XCub 60cc ARF is an officially licensed replica of the CubCrafters marvel. In close collaboration with the company, factory drawings of the full-scale aircraft were used to design the model. Like its original model, our giant-scale XCub model was specifically designed to make the tried-and-true design better at meeting the needs of the RC modeler. The result is the best of the best for the RC pilot looking for a giant scale airplane that can do anything. And although it is large in size, modern technologies and performance factors and flight systems make it easy to fly an RC airplane. The laser-cut wood structure provides a very stylish appearance. Genuine UltraCote® coating provides an outer coating that replicates the CubCrafters original in true trim scheme and colours. Its contours are authentic, with scale and other details that are practical and realistic, including spring gear with aluminum wheels and tundra tires, a solid tailwheel assembly, wing-shaped wing supports and LED lighting, just to name a few.

It was designed to be as fun as possible for your time in the park. Most of the assembly is bolt-on and the complete equipment package includes everything needed for fuel or electric power system installation. The large fiberglass body can hold a powerful engine like the easy-to-handle Evolution® 62GX or an incredibly smooth engine like the E-flite® Power 360. Batteries are accessible through the hinged cockpit door and window. It locks the doors using a unique tool-free mechanism. The two-piece snap-on flap design and folding supports make it easy to transport and store. The flaps and fins have factory-fitted composite hinges and are secured with a removable metal pin to help ensure scale accuracy and functionality without extra work.

With the XCub 60cc, the classic Cub experience plus the benefits of modern design and technology will make your friends think you're a giant scale expert. The additional vertical fin area offers improved stability, while the aerodynamic landing gear reduces drag for better acceleration and speed, so the XCub rolls around slowly and comfortably. In addition, operational flaps help provide impressive STOL performance and expand flight coverage. You can even install the included high-quality metal tow-release mechanism for use as a capable and realistic glider tug.

Lightweight Construction
Laser-cut balsa and plywood construction make the XCub 60cc a scale model expertly built to exacting standards. The original Hangar 9 UltraCote® finish offers a realistic trim scheme with an easy-to-maintain quality finish. Painted parts such as the hood, landing gear and wing supports are matched with high-gloss protection colours.

Functional Flaps
The large wing area offers light wing loading to provide solid flight performance at a wide range of speeds. And when combined with operational flaps, it allows for impressive STOL capability and the ability to fly over short areas under a variety of conditions. The flaps and fins feature scale-type composite hinges and are secured using a removable metal pin - all factory-assembled, helping to provide scale accuracy and functionality without extra work.

Power Up The Way You Want
The XCub 60cc is designed to accept the Evolution® 62GX two-stroke gas engine, the Saito® FG-61TS twin four-stroke gas engine, or the E-flite® Power 360 brushless electric outrunner motor. All hardware for recommended power system options is included so installation is easy so you can go live faster. Plus, the included spinner makes it easy to complete the scale sketch.
