The HobbyZone® Sport Cub S 2 is based on the legendary Sport Cub S, one of the most popular trainer aircraft of all time designed for learning to fly radio controlled (RC) aircraft. Its ultra micro size makes it the ideal choice for A smaller trainer model that can be flown in gardens, parks, soccer fields and other suitable areas where larger models would not typically be successfully flown by new pilots. Exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology helps prevent loss of control and direction and avoid accidents so that almost anyone can learn to fly successfully. Based on the legendary Sport Cub S, one of the most popular trainers ever designed for learning to fly radio-controlled (RC) aircraft, its ultra-micro size makes it an ideal choice for a smaller trainer model capable of flying in large yards. Install the optional descent buoy set (EFLUA1190, sold separately) and large pools and small pools will be added to the list of places to fly! Exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology helps prevent excessive control, disorientation, and collisions so nearly anyone can learn to fly successfully. Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced modes let you choose the level of stability and control you need or are ready to try, with the flip of a switch. Also, if you lose control in any flight mode, you can instantly return to stable flight using the Panic Rescue feature.

Learn to fly an RC Airplane with SAFE ® Technology!
If this is your first RC airplane, Horizon Hobby's exclusive SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology prevents overcontrol and crashes while offering multiple flight modes to provide more control and capability as your skills progress:
Beginner Mode
In this flight mode, the airplane's pitch and bank angles are limited to prevent excessive movements that could cause loss of control and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the aircraft automatically returns to level flight, allowing you to relax and simply enjoy 'steering' the aircraft in the sky. This flight mode also makes takeoff and landing easier.
Intermediate Mode
This flight mode provides more freedom in pitch and bank, but still avoids significant overcontrol and the aircraft does not return to level flight on its own. This allows you to take tighter turns and climb and descend faster as your skills progress. In addition, Beginner Mode automatically activates and returns the aircraft to level flight when it descends approximately 30 feet below ground level and the control sticks are released.
Experienced Mode
In Experienced Mode, there are no tilt or bank angle limits, so you have full control! You can even fly upside down and perform aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, stall turns and more. Panic Recovery can be activated by switching to Startup Mode and releasing the control sticks.
Panic Button
If you lose control of the aircraft in Intermediate or Experienced flight modes, simply switch to Beginner Mode and release the control sticks. SAFE technology automatically returns the aircraft to level flight.
Ready to Fly
This Ready-to-Fly (RTF) version includes a controller/transmitter equipped with Spektrum™ DSMX® 2.4GHz technology and everything else you need to fly including AA batteries for the transmitter, a rechargeable lithium polymer battery for the aircraft, and a USB charger. . This means there is nothing extra to buy or provide so you can fly! The included transmitter can also be used with other ultra micro / UMX (Ultra Micro eXtreme) Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) RC airplanes.
Durable Design
Advanced EPS material construction provides a lightweight yet durable body. If, in the unfortunate situation, you damage any airframe part or component and you are unable to repair them, a full range of spares/replacements is readily available.
